200 Amp Service Upgrades • Sub-Panels • Panel Repairs • Recalled Panel Replacement
Modern homes need modern electrical panels. Don't wait for failure.
The call came in on a cold Saturday morning. A homeowner in Cambria, CA had just bought a new induction range, plugged it in, and tripped the main breaker within two minutes of trying to use it...
That's the rhythm of panel work. Diagnose carefully. Explain clearly. Execute properly. Document everything.
1st Choice Electrical Services handles panel upgrades and panel repairs across Cambria as the structural electrical work it actually is — not as a quick swap.
Full main panel replacement, new service entrance cable, utility coordination, and proper load calculations for modern homes with EV chargers, induction ranges, and central air.
For detached garages, workshops, ADUs, finished basements, and additions. Proper feeder sizing and neutral-ground separation guaranteed.
Failed bus bars, recalled panels (Federal Pacific, Zinsco, Sylvania), burning smells, and frequent tripping.

The most common misconception about panel upgrades is that they're optional improvements rather than corrective work...
The corrective work isn't optional in any meaningful sense. The question is only whether you do it on your timeline or on the panel's timeline.
We'll walk through exactly what you need — in writing — before any commitment. Same-day and next-day appointments available across Cambria, CA.
